The White Rose University Consortium (White Rose)

is a strategic partnership between Yorkshire's leading research universities of Leeds, Sheffield and York.

Claire Pickerden

is a Project Development Manager based at the University of Sheffield. Claire is responsible for developing and facilitating White Rose projects, and supporting staff from all three institutions in new collaborations.

has wide ranging business development and project management experience across the public sector including addressing gender equality within the STEM sectors and promoting inclusive practice within creative industries. Previous employment with The UK Resource Centre for Women in Science, Engineering and Technology included managing European and national projects in order to address occupational segregation working with academia, industry and professional bodies. She currently sits on the Advisory Board of the GenCo gender project run by the Technical University of Dortmund and acts as advisor to the new INTEGER FP7 Science in Society project.
